Depart Belize City for Gracie Rock Village to begin the most exhilarating and hands-on tour offered in Belize.  45 minutes after departing Belize City you arrive at the base of operation for today.  Here your experienced guides will brief you on safety procedures, outline the route to be taken and issue protective helmets.  It is now time to explore the jungles of Belize on trails laid out over 100 years ago by loggers in search of precious Mahogany trees.  Our trails are a good mix of various challenging terrains leading to your first stop of the day – the Maya Caves.  Here you explore caves once used by the Maya thousands of years ago.  To the Maya, caves were sacred places where important ceremonies were conducted to appease the gods of the underworld.  As you explore the cave be on the lookout for ancient ceramic pots forgotten for centuries.  After this stop, it is time to loop back to home base via jungle trails.  A snack of fresh fruit, nachos and fruit juice is served before your return to the Belize City .

A portion of the proceeds from this tour is paid to the Gracie Rock Reserve for Adventure Culture and Ecotourism, a Belizean NGO with responsibility for the conservation management of the Peccary Hills National Park and the social development of the Gracie Rock Community, located within the Peccary Hills National Park.  Members of the Gracie Rock community have been trained as guides and participate on all tours within the Park.
